Oceans of Wonder

Working alongside marine scientists and researchers brings me a deep sense of nostalgia. It takes me back to my younger days, when I was endlessly fascinated by science—especially biology and chemistry. I was always curious about how life works, how ecosystems connect, and how even the smallest elements play vital roles in the bigger picture.

To now find myself collaborating with experts in the field feels like coming full circle. What once began as childhood curiosity has evolved into meaningful, hands-on experience. Being immersed in conversations about marine ecosystems, research findings, and field observations is more than just work—it’s something that genuinely excites me.

Being able to geek out about all these things truly thrills me. There’s a special joy in diving deep into scientific discussions, marveling at intricate systems, and appreciating the beauty of discovery. It’s in those moments that I feel most alive. This space—where passion meets purpose—has truly become my happy place.

Moreover, gaining a deeper understanding of how to preserve my happy place—the sea—makes this journey even more meaningful. The more I learn, the more I realize how vital science-based approaches are in protecting our oceans. It feels like the perfect time to dust off my swimming gear and immerse myself fully, not just as an advocate, but as an active participant in understanding and conserving marine life.

This season beautifully complements the science-based practices we are strengthening within our social enterprise. It’s where passion for the ocean, love for science, and purpose-driven work all come together—reminding me why I started and inspiring me to keep going.
