Momentum at Last

The “ber” months—especially in our country, known for having the longest Christmas celebration in the world, stretching from September to January—are always hectic. This year, however, it felt like the intensity didn’t stop with the season; it carried on throughout the entire year.

It has been a period of nonstop coordination, back to back events and constant movement. As we fully scaled our market, we were met with an overwhelming number of partnership and collaboration inquiries. We are truly blessed and deeply honored by the trust and support we’ve received—particularly from Michelin-starred chefs and well-known Filipino food purveyors, both locally and internationally.

Amid all this, we are especially thrilled to see our fishers earn additional, fair income and gain new skills as they work directly with institutional markets. Watching them grow in confidence and capability—and seeing their hard work rewarded—is at the heart of why we do what we do.

With so much happening at once, and while fulfilling on-the-spot orders, it became clear that we couldn’t juggle everything simultaneously. To stay focused and continue delivering quality, we made the decision to move most meetings to early next year, giving way to the Christmas rush and the notorious holiday traffic in the city.

We are also deeply grateful to the future funders we will soon be working with, whose belief in our mission will allow us to scale what we do. While juggling everything often feels impossible, these challenges keep us moving forward as we work to make the fishers’ dreams possible.

This is just the beginning, and we’re overjoyed to be gaining real momentum—especially as we finally complete accreditations with hotel chains and new partners (woohoo!) 😅

As exhausting as this season has been, it has also been incredibly rewarding. We move into the coming months grateful, energized, and excited—there is truly an exciting year ahead for everyone.
