Transcend: Embracing Growth, Self-Care, and Connection in 2024

My theme for this year was "Transcend," a reminder to push beyond my ordinary limitations. It all started with my decision to reconnect with my heart’s desires and pursue my personal passions. The passing of my father created a space for reflection, allowing me to slow down and view my life through a clearer, more intentional lens.

A significant part of this journey was prioritizing self-care. Earlier this year, I faced some health challenges when I discovered that my hormonal imbalance—PCOS—had returned. Coming to terms with the fact that it may never fully go away was tough, but I realized I could manage the symptoms through a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. There were times when I almost gave up, but I’m beyond grateful to have finally found the right OB-GYN after ten years of searching. With her support, I’ve been able to manage my condition holistically, and I’m seeing remarkable progress.

I’m also deeply grateful for the growth in my personal relationships. This year, I made it a priority to spend more quality time with my family and friends—people I truly cherish. Nurturing these connections has brought me immense joy and fulfillment.

Another area I’m proud of is my growth in leadership and management. Leading our company hasn’t been easy, but I’ve had the privilege of being surrounded by an incredible, supportive community that’s helped me grow. Their encouragement and collaboration have been key in shaping my leadership journey.

Moreover, I’ve made significant strides in confronting my traumas and insecurities. Facing these challenges head-on has been essential for my personal growth, and it’s positively impacted my ability to lead with greater confidence and empathy.

On a lighter note, improving my domestic skills has definitely been one for the books! 😂 I tackled everything from fixing water faucets and changing light bulbs to assembling furniture and setting up gym equipment from scratch. I also spent more time in the kitchen, learning to cook new recipes intuitively, and while I’m still far from my dad’s culinary level, I can taste his homecooked meals in every dish I prepare. There’s a long way to go, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.

I also learned how to strategically organize and juggle both domestic and work life. Drawing on my supply chain skills has been incredibly helpful in managing everything more efficiently. It’s been a rewarding challenge, and I’m grateful for the lessons learned along the way.

Above all, nothing beats living life to the fullest—appreciating the simple things that are truly life’s priceless treasures. Spending more time with my adorable furbabies and loved ones has been the cherry on top of this journey.
