The True Currency
My family and my work in community enterprise development have profoundly shaped the way I understand impact and purpose. From an early age, I learned that scarcity of resources does not limit our ability to create meaningful and lasting change. What truly defines impact is not what we have, but how we choose to show up for others, how deeply we care, and how intentionally we act.
Through these experiences, I came to recognize a gift I carry—the ability to connect people. I’ve been blessed with a natural inclination to build bridges across communities, foster collaboration among diverse individuals, and mobilize resources in moments when they are needed most. Time and again, I’ve seen how shared vision and collective effort can turn even the smallest idea into something powerful.
These connections have taught me that influence isn’t about authority or wealth; it’s about trust. It’s about listening, aligning values, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and inspired to contribute. When people come together with purpose, solutions emerge, barriers dissolve, and impact multiplies.
I may not be a billionaire yet in financial terms, but I consider myself immensely wealthy in the ways that truly matter. I’ve been blessed with priceless relationships—people who believe, collaborate, and walk alongside one another in pursuit of a greater good.
In the end, my journey continues to remind me that real wealth lies not in what we accumulate, but in what we cultivate: connections, compassion, and communities capable of transforming the world together.
